At the end of the first phase of our project, just after going live, the IT group at KEMET asked one of their executives for his feedback on the implementation. The SVP calmly sat down at the meeting and said "Well, it was a nonevent." Asked to elaborate, the SVP said that based on his experience, a project like this has the potential to cause significant disruption to the business, including shutdowns and other negative impacts. So for him, the highest compliment he could pay was that no one actually noticed that a new system went live.
