In March 2020, planning was underway for Children and Youth Day (CYD) when COVID-19 hit and forced all arrangements to be suspended. Hosting an event that usually welcomes almost 50,000 people in these never-before-seen circumstances seemed impossible.

The CYD team, unwavered by COVID-19, quickly recuperated from the shock and promised to deliver an event that is a spectacular celebration of children and youth.
