How do you, personally, measure your happiness? And have you altered that measure due to the pandemic, or has it remained as it did before? It reminds me of the formula Happiness = Reality - expectations. If your goal is to be as happy as you can be, then what ten personal KPIs would you select to derive your level of happiness? Would you measure perhaps the quantity and quality of your relationships, the size of your 401k, your BMI, your life expectancy, your free time, career, debt, travel, hobbies, etc.? My guess is that extroverts have had to adjust some of those KPIs more so than introverts, depending, of course, on their pandemic experience. What constitutes happiness for some might be vastly different than that for others, whether the variances lie with realities or with expectations. Speaking of expectations, our consumer research found that 47% of respondents said out-of-stock inventory is a deal breaker – so to keep customers happy, retailers must keep the shelves stocked.
