Through personally receiving unbelievable levels of support, I have a deep passion for supporting and developing people to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential. Fortunately, I am able to do this via several different ways, be that through organisations I work for, partner with, speak to or volunteer at. As part of the team that founded the Switch the Play Foundation, the first UK Charity focused on assisting all athletes with their transition and development outside of sport, I was able to combine my passion for both sport and business. Having successfully transitioned out of elite sport, I have served on several boards in both non-executive and executive roles ranging from independent schools, financial, sport and professional services and not for profit organisations. After publishing my first book, ‘From Boot Room to Boardroom’, I graduated with a first-class (Hons) degree in Business Leadership and Management. To further continue my personal development, I went on to graduate with an MBA gaining a Distinction grade and was subsequently shortlisted for Global MBA Student of the Year 2021. Combining my experiences in elite sport, business and academia I am an accomplished keynote and public speaker, passionate about the areas of teamwork, culture and developing high performing teams, and regularly deliver sessions on the lessons that organisations can learn from elite sporting environments. During a 15-year successful rugby career, I represented Leicester Tigers and Gloucester which culminated in winning 6 Premiership titles, 2 Domestic Cups and back to back European Cup trophies. I am also proud to have been selected for the Barbarians FC on 5 tours and have represented England at every level, making my full international debut against South Africa in 2000. I am a Judiciary panel member for the RFU, European and World Rugby and was selected as part of the small Judiciary team for the Rugby World Cup in Japan 2019. I am also a proud ambassador and Business Mentor for the Princes Trust and Patron for Action Deafness.
