With the peak trading season just months away, we thought it relevant to share a story from London-based international toy retailer, Hamleys. Coming out of the previous Christmas season and heading into the summer months, they knew they needed to fast track their transition of stores to Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service (POS) from a legacy Oracle POS solution to meet business objectives. The retailer's vision was to empower business users with new payment, security, and customer service features, while simultaneously phasing out obsolete hardware. The project team drove an accelerated program to go live at more than 15 stores within eight months.
