Time in Nature
All Trails Description: Get to know this 5.3-mile loop trail near Auburn, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 19 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are January through November. The trail winds through a forested riparian woodland of oak and pine trees before descending gradually to a little brook. It is first paved, but it turns to packed dirt. The trail contains a bridge crossing, where the ascent back up begins. After that, the trail gets narrower, revealing a waterfall before climbing steeply.
One noteworthy destination is the ruins at Robie Point, a historic farmstead that was abandoned when the Auburn Dam plans were first proposed. - This is where we will circle up and have some group discussions about the benefits of unplugging, how we practice being present, and any intentions, wins, or things we need help with.
