While China is suffering economic uncertainty, ecommerce continues to be one of the major drivers of growth. Indeed, the country has overtaken the US to become the world's largest ecommerce market.

eMarketer estimates that retail ecommerce sales in China (excluding travel and events tickets) totalled $472 billion in 2014, easily eclipsing the web sales of $304.91 billion reported by the US Commerce Department for the same year.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government is encouraging foreign trade by setting up 10 trade zones since 2013 whereby companies are able to warehouse goods without sending them through customs.
