A self-proclaimed social theorist – I have an insatiable curiosity about the world and its workings. My main passion lies in blending artistic principles with technology, business, and society. I’m proud of my upcoming book “The Business Artist” and for taking the leap to start Meahana.io. Both my book and my business share a common goal – to unlock creativity by providing individuals with the mental, physical, and technological tools to drive their artistic vision.
While the book provides a toolkit for embracing the mindset of a business artist and building a community of like-minded individuals, Meahana has similar community building ambitions.
What led me to starting Meahana:
For 13 years, I co-created workshops and designed facilitated experiences with some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. I was able to witness first-hand the importance of human touch, adaptability, and improvisation in effective communication and facilitation. As more leaders wanted to create their own workshops, they would be limited by tools ill-suited for their artistic vision. Whether it's using an unstructured learning whiteboard to drive structured workshop goals or relying on shallow audience response tools that lack depth, these inadequate tools hinder the facilitator's ability to achieve their objectives effectively.
This is why we embarked on the journey of creating Meahana, a meticulously designed platform with templates and intuitive interactions, created by facilitators for facilitators, strike the perfect balance between simplicity and sophistication. Meahana serves as an artist’s studio, unlocking the facilitator that resides within everyone, effortlessly guiding the process of creativity, crafting ideas and taking action in any environment.
• Creativity is a core component of human identity, and its opposite is not destruction but consumption.
• There are limitations of systematic and repeatable processes, their impact on human fulfillment, connection, empathy, and artistic ability, and the neuroscience behind creativity.
• Data-ism is a phenomenon where you become more of who you are without your permission.
• The arts, such as music, movies, and other creative forms, can help develop and improve one's creativity and ability to innovate in a business setting.
Throughout my personal and career endeavors, I seek to inspire others to embrace the creative process, appreciate the efforts and intentions of other creators, and make deeper emotional connections with their colleagues, customers, and themselves.A self-proclaimed social theorist – I have an insatiable curiosity about the world and its workings.
