Andrew Owen

Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m a community builder, strategist, visual artist, and architect of experiences. Across my 15+ year career in the arts and tech sectors, I am most proud of the outstanding teams I have built and the zero to one projects we have fearlessly taken on. Since 2006 I have worked on the front lines of visual culture weaving together community, storytelling, brand and new technologies. My career began with National Geographic and the launch of the annual photography festival LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph. In 2014 I joined the team at Instagram as one of the company's first 60 employees where I started as the first-ever Events Lead. During the pandemic I jumped into the exciting venture startup space to help pioneer new digital event formats. As an artist and photographer, I’m engaged in a long term personal project documenting California landscapes in the aftermath of extreme fire. And I recently built an art gallery in my SF apartment! I love deadlines, big ideas and great teams. Let’s work together!
