I didn't realize in college that I was a lifelong learner. And I never imagined the next decade would be filled with professional development and finding my passion in the world of events.
Yet, here we are - the learning continues everyday.
It all began with being a great team member, learning how to prioritize and stretch, while working with a myriad of members across the globe. Next up, I had the opportunity to serve the hospitality industry planning hosted buyer events. Booths on the tradeshow floor, more sponsorship activations, and partnering with speakers to bring an event experience to the attendees became priority...and passion. I learned I could grow and adapt fast in all situations.
I then had an opportunity to be a leader worth following. One that allowed me to remain in the event space, producing hybrid events with a team that focused on a mission of building better professionals. I managed more content, I lead a team of customer focused professionals, and took on lessons in marketing.
Now, I find myself as part of a global events team where collaboration, ideation, risk taking and moving forward are all embraced.
This aligns with my focus of culture. I truly believe that if you take care of your teammates and focus on cross-team collaboration, anything can happen. I like to have fun too.
Communication is key, and I'm skilled at it. Whether it is within the team leading training for an upcoming event, moderating a podcast or webinar, or writing an email to a client, I see communication as a key expectation of any teammate I work with.
I like change and embrace it, as adaptability is a strength of mine. I believe purposeful movement is key to growth, and I don't shy away from new ideas. Ideation is a fun, creative space; and I can shift from strategic to execution in a heartbeat.
Personally, I'm passionate about travel, connecting to cultures, cooking with my husband, cuddling with my Shiba Inus, volunteering, and trying all the flavors of life. I also adore Disney and ride my Peloton daily.
In the words of Walt Disney, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
