I am an educator, fiction writer, playwright, editor, copywriter, and marketer.

I currently work as a Copywriter for a marketing agency called Copypress based in Tampa, Florida. My primary responsibility is to research, write, and edit over 3000 words of content each day. I also use SEO tactics to optimize the reach of my content. Before getting my current job, I interned at Online Optimism, a marketing agency in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a Senior Content Specialist, I assisted in research for long-form content pieces, crafted blog post drafts for approval, and performed keyword research to determine high-value content opportunities.

I also have experience mentoring others in developing their writing abilities. As a Writing Coach at both Delgado Community College and the University of New Orleans, I worked individually with students to help them discover how to articulate their unique perspectives through their writing. I have also taught Freshman Composition at the University of New Orleans where I was responsible for scaffolding curriculum while adhering to accreditation standards.

I am familiar with the editorial side of writing, too. I have worked and held internships in the publishing industry, exploring the distinct yet interrelated worlds of magazines, literary agencies, and publishing houses. Most recently, I worked as the Literary Assistant at the James Fitzgerald Agency, where I reviewed all unsolicited queries, edited current manuscripts, and managed our website.

I am also a playwright, a novelist, a short story writer, and an essayist. I have previously been published in literary journals such as Drunk Monkeys, Wordgathering, and The Bookends Review. My plays have been produced or are forthcoming at venues such as the Mid-America Theatre Conference, Femuscripts Theatre, and Intramural Theatre. My play Life on the Moon was the 2017 recipient of Southeastern Louisiana University’s Inkslinger Playwriting award and of Triad Shakes Theatre’s New Play award.

In December 2019, I received my MFA from the University of New Orleans's Creative Writing Workshop. My primary concentration was in Fiction and my secondary concentration was Playwriting. I received a B.A. in Individualized Studies, with a concentration in The Construction of Literature, from New York University's Gallatin School. I graduated in 2015 with the Latin honor of summa cum laude.
