If I moved a muscle, sharp pain would shoot through my body.
So I sat still, put on a smile, and carried on teaching productivity to the 20,000+ people who would listen to the podcast—but never know what I was really dealing with.
I had shingles. Not an uncommon condition if you’re over 65, but when you’re in your early 30s, it meant—according to my doctor—that I had some serious stress issues.
But that didn't make sense...
- I had studied advanced productivity and time management for years.
- I was hired by one of the leading voices in productivity—Michael Hyatt—to teach his productivity system to their followers.
- I trained teams at Twilio, PGA West, the US Marines, and more.
I was doing the “right things” to manage my time and work.
So why was I living with a constant undercurrent of stress?
I didn’t know it at the time, but my stress and burn out were caused by a lack of what I call “Time EQ.”
After my first year of intentionally developing my Time EQ, my entire life changed.
- My income as a salesperson and trainer increased by 70%
- I worked 10 less hours per week
- I gained clarity and excitement about my future
- And I grew more and more peaceful through every “setback” I experienced
It had such a profound effect on me, that I now have centered my own coaching and training business around this simple idea:
You can automatically and massively upgrade your performance and peace of mind by improving your emotional relationship with the past, present and future.
Here's what some of my clients have said:
- “I used to feel stressed, anxious, guilty…but I’m feeling those things a lot less after working with Blake. “ - Tim Schurrer, CEO David Novak Leadership
- “As soon as you helped me release this hold that I had on my mind and future, the success gates have started to open” - Danielle Brooks, CEO Pearl Business Consulting
- “Blake is so great at helping people understand the heart-level stuff that holds them back from the success they want to achieve.” - Jonathan Zajas, CMO Leaders.com
- “I’ve been able to stop spinning my wheels and move forward on my most important projects.” - Rachel Starr Thomson, Novelist
- “I have figured out my purpose. I now have the why I need to modify my business so that it financially supports this dream and offers the time freedom to enact it.” - Megan Marcoux-Whitten, CPA
