I am a cybersecurity subject matter expert with comprehensive experience in IT and information security and management coupled with years of success as a cybersecurity graduate-level university professor. Throughout my career, I have thrived in complex international environments while managing global teams with reports in India, France, Germany, China, and the U.S. Much of my success is due to my ability to leverage a practical approach to balancing security with usability and business alignment. I easily adapt to new technology and anticipate threats to protect intellectual property and information systems of global enterprises.
A people person, able to build synergistic teams and cultivate a collaborative, challenging work environment, I lead individuals to achieve excellence in all responsibilities. I drive and instill continuous improvement within IT and the business while recommending strategies to reduce overall costs and execute new solutions. My charisma and extroverted personality allow me to influence key decision-makers and collaborate well with internal and external customers to establish highly effective policies and corporate protocols on a global scale.
Furthermore, I leverage my background as a technical and security practitioner to promote change. I engage communities and proactively participate in industry leadership boards/committees. I evangelize cybersecurity best practices through research, writing, speaking and teaching.
