I've enjoyed and thrived for over 30 years in the software industry. I love systems engineering, with hands on capability in developing and operating robust software as a service for my customers. My career in technology spans many roles in the industry, from coder to CTO and from strategy consultant to managing director. I thrive leading engineering teams, and bring to my teams the skills and experience to understand market needs, devise strategy, and architect software product platforms to successfully bring new concepts to market.
Recent technical experience as a CTO includes leading the design, development, and operations of a software-as-service digital banking solution. The white-labelled software product is used by banks and other financial services companies to deliver a superb mobile and online experience to their customers. The product’s microservices architecture enabled reduced time-to-market for new features. The platform includes process and tooling to support continuous integration and deployment to Cloud infrastructure.
As both a Managing Director and CTO, my experience covers the full breadth of technology leadership, including hiring and organising engineering teams, DevOps, software-as-service design, software product management, enterprise architecture, and data centre operations.
