Cody Sanford was previously T-Mobile’s Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Product Officer, leading the company’s Product & Technology organization. He held a variety of leadership roles at T-Mobile over the past 20 years, and helped spearhead the integration planning and public company readiness effort in the successful merger of T-Mobile and the number-one prepaid wireless brand, Metro by T-Mobile. Cody was at the forefront of T-Mobile’s Un-carrier revolution since day one, focused on leading the company’s digital transformation strategy.
As the leader of T-Mobile’s Product & Technology organization, Cody was responsible for guiding his team toward building capabilities and transformation in the processes, people and technologies that bring to life T-Mobile’s innovative experiences for customers and frontline employees. His vision for Product & Technology was to create a culture that enables developer-led innovation, forms product-based organizations, contributes to open source communities (see https://opensource.t-mobile.com), and creates high-performing agile teams. Through this digital transformation journey, Cody drove the evolution of T-Mobile into a modern technology company and a top destination for developers to build world-class software.
Cody is experienced in a broad range of operational disciplines, including technology transformation, corporate strategy implementation, retail sales leadership, infrastructure deployment, and engineering and operations strategy and oversight.
Outside of work, Cody is a board member of the Washington Alliance for Better Schools. WABS is a collaboration of eleven school districts that leverages resources, talents, and intellectual capital to help over a quarter million students graduate career and college ready, particularly in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
