Dan is an analytics, insight and optimisation leader with 15+ years experience across multiple industries. He is experienced in creating and growing teams, and embedding data/ optimisation culture into organisations while remaining skilled with a wide range of relevant softwares and languages (including Amplitude Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Adobe Target, Qubit, ContentSquare and SQL). Currently at Haven, Dan is building and growing analytics/ insight capabilities and maturity in the midst of a large scale digital transformation.

DATA DEMOCRATISATION & CULTURE
🧫 Working in cross-functional matrix organisations (with C-suite, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Trading, Customer Service, etc), establishing data needs and developing strategies to meet and exceed them.
🧫 Advocating data education and creating training programmes for non-specialists to be able to self-serve their "day-to-day" needs, data becoming a core tenet of cross-functional product development/ business improvement.
🧫 Defining KPI frameworks together with stakeholder groups to ensure clear and consistent measurement of success that aligns to business initiatives and OKRs (Objectives & Key Results).

LEADERSHIP
🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏿 Creating and growing multiple teams (and a graduate scheme) with clear hierarchies of role profiles, hiring and developing talent to operate as business partners rather than service centres.

OPTIMISATION
🧪 Bringing in split testing methodologies/ processes, ensuring these are at the forefront of teams’ minds when considering any digital change.
🧪 Minimising release risk and providing understanding of potential uplifts, often discovering and iterating on winning experiment variants estimated at multiple million pounds per year.

DATA BUILD & TOOL IMPLEMENTATION
🛠️ Embedding tracking implementation processes to ensure ongoing coverage of all digital change.
🛠️ Multiple implementations of various tools (Amplitude Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, ContentSquare and others, via Google Tag Manager), designing comprehensive data layers to drive them.
🛠️ Multiple successful tool assessments/ RFPs (Adobe Analytics Premium at TUI, ContentSquare at FitFlop, Amplitude Analytics at Haven), aligning to data strategies, opportunities, the needs of the business, the needs of end users and the issues needing a resolution.
