Bios are boring; People's stories and their WHY are interesting as heck!
My Why: Education is the way to live the most fulfilling life one can, yet the barrier to entry is so high. I strive to make meaningful education accessible to all.
📕 My Story:
🏫 In High School, I started a nonprofit with some friends with a goal of reducing socioeconomic inequality in the greater Miami area. We went to the lower-income neighborhoods and provided textbooks, electronics, after school sports, tutoring, and more. Yes... I also did everything else a high school student does.
After one semester at FSU, I get kicked out. Pro Tip: Always look for the positive in things.
📞 I spend the next year in Miami working my first ever sales job and building my first for-profit company, TutorDirect. Within 6 months, I was one of the top-producing reps and my company had received funding.
FSU allowed me to come back to school and study in their College of Entrepreneurship. It was a degree that taught how to build a business and the your professors were successful founders.
💻 TutorDirect launches and is an entire tutoring software for on-demand K-8 tutoring that didn't break the bank. In fact, it cost less than a Chipotle bowl.
I spend the rest of the next 3 years being a college student and building two more businesses: SaviorStraws, a biodegradable straw that detected drugs in one's drink, and Point Zero, a biodegradable alternative to Keurig that also had cold brew functionality.
Upon Point Zero being ready to go to market, I was pitched on a SAAS startup in Indiana. Instead of an objection, my response was "I'll be in HQ next week, looking to build out a sales team?"
✈️ I fly out to Indiana and join them as one of the first sales hires (<15 employees total)
Fast forward 15 months later and we were Inc #583, had 70+ Employees, over 17k customers, and I was managing our Rev Ops, SDR team, and partnerships.
I made a decision in 2021...
👶 ScaleUp was born. I went back into entrepreneurship.
In 1.5 years we grew into a low 6-figure business helping founders build their sales processes leveraging tech and content.
In January 2023, SelfDisrupt (a referral partner then) approached me to partner and create the #1 modern B2B Demand Gen Agency helping:
1) Turn People Into Niche Influencers on Linkedin Thru Content Management
2) Automate Omnichannel Prospecting
3) Set Qualified Appointments for Sales, Partnerships, Speaking Engagements, Exit Opportunities
Outcomes may include:
1) Extreme Joy
2) Goals Reached
