Early-stage startup marketing leader with experience standing up fast-moving b2b SaaS marketing programs from pre-revenue/pre-investment and growing to $67M ARR, leveraging a four-pillar approach of brand marketing, revenue marketing, customer marketing, and product marketing.

I joined Hopin as the first full-time employee on September 8, 2019, working closely with founder/CEO Johnny Boufarhat and early customers to ideate, test, position, and launch Hopin’s events product and GTM strategy before COVID. In 2020, when the virus hit, we experienced rapid growth, reaching a $5.65B valuation in less than a year of existence, making Hopin one of the fastest growing startups in history. I’ve been lucky to join so early and watch the people, systems, and processes scale from two people and a handful of contractors to 550+ people across 40 countries in 18 months.

Achievements include:
* Set initial brand positioning, sales enablement, pricing plans, and demand gen campaigns strategy/execution.
* Founded the Hopin brand mission, values, voice/tone, first user manual, and demo videos.
* Managed “secret sauce” roster of vendors, agencies, and contractors for PR, marketing materials, user journey mapping, website redesign, video marketing, paid/SEO programs.
* Elevated Hopin to #1 on G2 and created 24+ case studies featuring customers including WSJ, The Atlantic, TechCrunch, TNW, GitLab, Miro, The Guardian, NY Jets, The Information, and United Nations.
* Hired first marketing team of nine, made of PMM, demand gen, marketing ops, community, and content.
* Led comms through Seed, Series A, and Series B funding rounds totaling over $700M and four acquisitions of StreamYard, Streamable, Topi, and Jamm.
* Oversaw team that launched Hopin and StreamYard’s first three events, tallying over 30,000 registrants.
* Acquired domain name hopin.com (ask me for the story)
* Worked with Sales to grow Hopin’s ARR from $0 to $30M in one year.

Other achievements:
* Founded Entrepreneur’s Handbook, a top Medium publication, and grew it to 200,000 followers
* Founded Party Qs, a conversation starter app, and grew it to 11k MAUs
* Published two best-selling online courses on writing
* Wrote for Inc. Magazine, CNBC Make It, and The Hustle as a columnist
* Writing has appeared in Axios, TNW, Entrepreneur, Crunchbase, and Business Insider.
* Authored Runaway Millionaire, a novel
* Husband of an RN, father of a two-year-old with another on the way
