Professionally, what I care the most about today is removing barriers to education. There are many, but I focus on the one most people can change and choose not to: language and process. Why is it complicated to apply to a university? It shouldn’t be, and it’s a barrier most universities ignore.
I’m also really into email marketing for education and nonprofits. I’ve been training folks to write better emails for over five years with astonishing results. I’m co-writing a book about email to be published in 2024.
Personally, I care about this planet. My son is 5 years old and we’re making a mess. He deserves a healthy planet. In particular, I care about sustainable, walkable cities and peace.
On any given day, I spend my time:
- Mothering
- Creating distinctive brands and effective marketing plans
- Teaching people how to write better emails
- Interviewing guests for my podcast
- Riding a bike to the grocery store
- Playing with Excel pivot tables
- Speaking at conferences
- Learning French
- Playing the trombone
