Guy Tasaka

Guy Tasaka is the technology columnist for Editor & Publisher Magazine and managing partner at Tasaka Digital specializing in innovation coaching for media executives. He is a nationally recognized expert in local media mobile, CTV/FAST publishing and edition-based publishing as well as business transformation.

Tasaka has over 35 years of experience in the media industry, working at Macworld Magazine, Ziff-Davis, The New York Times, Calkins Media, and WideOrbit. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and is a winner of LMA’s Innovator of the Year award for his work creating the first FAST channels at local television stations and newspapers.

Tasaka is a passionate advocate for local media and believes that technology can be a powerful tool for publishers to reach new audiences, grow their businesses, and serve their communities. He is frequent speaker on media innovation and writes extensively about the future of local media.
