I believe in the power of stories. Stories reveal the unspoken, they bring people together and they can change the world. The online digital and social media story is powerful. One that, while relatively young in comparison to the history of the world, is unique, quickly growing and continually reshaping the world as we know it today. A story that is exciting, adventurous, powerful and constantly changing the world at an incredible rate. This is a story that I want to be a part of.
Here is my short story: I was adopted from South Korea into an incredible family when I was four years old. My family math: I have six siblings and five out of the seven of us are adopted from three different families. I'm the middle child with three brothers and three sisters. I grew up in Eugene, Oregon for seven years (Go Ducks!) and in a tiny town called Glennallen in Alaska for another six.
Desiring to do something different, I decided to shed my parka and pack my bags to attend university in British Columbia, Canada (Go 'Nucks!) and graduated with a degree in Communications and another in Psychology. I've lived (at one point or another) in Seattle, Washington, Red Deer, Alberta, and Santa Barbara, California, and now I call beautiful Vancouver, BC my home.
Over the years, I've been able to develop a wide range of skills and grew a passion in the worlds of partnership-building, digital marketing, sales, project management, social media and visual arts. I've had the opportunity to bring my Swiss army knife skill-set to a variety of industries, from human resources and nonprofits to sales and social media technology.
I now specialize in the world of digital transformation, social media and partnerships for companies and organizations across the globe with Hootsuite, the world's most widely used social media relationship management platform, as a Senior ISV Partner Manager.
