Historically I have always thought of LI as a business tool and whilst I still believe that to be the case on a recent training course I was encouraged to add personal information - so here goes-
I go to the gym because I know it is good for me, I go for a run outside because I love it. I am blessed to live near lovely countryside and my wife and I love to go for long walks and enjoy the changing seasons. Now before you think I am a fitness fanatic I really enjoy eating out and drinking good wine - and yes I like white and red wine.
I volunteer as a trustee for a local charity called Phase which is dedicated to supporting young people and improving their mental health. Volunteering is both a great way of giving back and also of getting you out of "work mode".
I love reading including fiction, autobiographies of people I admire, and self-development books. I need to get back into a pattern of listening to more podcasts which I really enjoy as well.
From a work perspective, I am responsible for sales in EMEA. I have used all the well-known brands of CRM and I can genuinely say SugarCRM allows me to run my business in the most effective way I have encountered. I live and breathe in our dashboards and can give my senior leadership up to date forecasts at the touch of a button.
When I talk to clients adoption is a key issue in ensuring the success of any CRM application. Reducing clicks, simplifying processes, and integrating to other systems to provide a full view of the prospect and client is really important. That said leaders must live and breathe in their CRM to ensure successful adoption which improves deal velocity and accuracy of forecasting. If it "ain't" in SugarCRM it is not a real deal as far as I am concerned.
It also means anyone from a solution consultant to our CEO can jump into an account record and have a meaningful, informed conversation. This is so important to ensuring a great customer experience.
