Jonathan’s continual drive for process improvement has helped shape the creative and innovative solutions he applies to all aspects of his life today. This systematic and progressive approach to how things work demonstrates how automation, organization, and redundancies can improve these things. He is never quite satisfied with things being done just because "it's always been done that way."

In 1999 Jonathan entered the United States Air Force (USAF) as an aircraft mechanic and became fascinated with the interrelationships of the KC-135 airframe’s subsystems. Here, he learned how to troubleshoot issues and apply corrective actions effectively. From digitized technical manuals and maintenance records to digital indexing of supplies and parts lists, Jonathan continually thought about how the maintenance process could be done more efficiently.

Shortly after receiving an honorable discharge from the USAF in 2005, Jonathan began studying criminology at the Community College of Rhode Island (CRRI). His desire to understand how things work led him to study criminal behavior within society and how it might be affected by socioeconomic factors, class divisions, societal status, inequality, and access to available resources. Eventually, he landed a job as a legal assistant focusing on real estate law.

Like aircraft maintenance, he realized he could carry out the real estate transactional process according to its specific parts and subsystems. Jonathan decided to try his hand as a real estate investor, which led to him obtaining his real estate license in 2007. There, he began applying the systematic approach to which he had become accustomed.

Frustrated with the industry’s antiquated, low-tech, and sometimes unethical business practices, Jonathan founded Zen Real Estate Group in 2013. He aimed to make real estate operations more efficient, automated, equitable, and environmentally sustainable. By utilizing a logic-based business approach driven by robust analytical data and reliable metrics, Zen Real Estate Group soon progressed into an ever-evolving cloud-based real estate ecosystem.

Today, Jonathan continues to evolve his technological skillset in data analytics and visualization, Application Programming Interface (API), application User Interface (UI)/application User Experience (UX), product design, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Business Process Management (BPM), and automation.
