French, dogs, music, people, numbers.
Pin these words up on a board. Weave a red thread through the pins.
You will have a tapestry that speaks to my passions. That comes close to defining who I am.
I am lucky. What I do at Revinate includes at least 3 or 4 of these passions consistently.
The most obvious passions that connect to my role of Chief Revenue Officer at Revinate are numbers and people.
Three teams. Three continents or 7+ time zones. One set of financial targets.
As CRO, I hold the Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams together as we consistently smash our financial targets.
That is a neat one line summary. Here’s what it translates to:
🚩Driving the go-to-market strategy
I work with my teams to develop the strategy and then implement it, frequently optimizing our revenue models, developing new approaches, improving customer retention and upselling opportunities and finally defining the success metrics that will ultimately roll up to the financial targets.
🚩Enabling a healthy pipeline
I work with sales and marketing teams to review, build and maintain our pipeline of leads. To achieve this, I need to ensure our solution messaging is consistent and resonates with customers and that our marketing campaigns are focused on lead generation.
Everything else that I do from developing relationships with our senior customers, opening new markets, building a strong culture - all rolls into these two categories.
The other three passions intersect too with my role.
I used to teach French. I have a masters in French too.
It isn’t the language as much as a nickname I picked up from my years of teaching French still sticks. Prof K.
I am still Prof K - a coach, a mentor, a guide to the people who work with me on my teams. I listen, cajole and at times, walk with my people to the best they can be. I am invested in their success.
As a woman in senior leadership in the hospitality industry, I know the value of people investing in others. I am paying it forward now.
