I am an experienced founder with a passion. After more than a decade in e-commerce it was time to refocus my entrepreneurial energy. I believe in the power of innovation - and that only through innovation our climate problem can be solved.

Together with my co-founder Anike, I started foom. foom technology converts organic waste into valuable fertiliser - on site and in record time. Our technology is based on microbial hydrolysis accelerated by bioaugmentation. With our technology the carbon footprint of waste can be significantly reduced.

How? Healthy soil captures CO2. Currently, the earth’s soil stores more than three times as much CO2 as the earth's atmosphere. But the quality and CO2 storage capacity of our soils are rapidly decreasing – driven by high productivity demands and a lack of knowledge about long-term effects of chemical fertilisers. The use of chemical fertilisers alone leads to emissions amounting to two gigatons of CO2 equivalents worldwide every year.

foom has developed a solution to stop this trend – by replacing chemical fertiliser with organic fertiliser (extracted onsite from organic waste) and by minimising emissions though avoidance of waste transportation.

Less emissions, better soils, more biodiversity! If you want to learn more, go to www.foom.de.
