As a Senior Partner at McKinsey, I am a Director of McKinsey Global Institute where I lead our research on global productivity, the Future of Work and impact of automation, impact from COVID-19, and gender equality and racial equity. I am also a leader in our Operations and Insurance practices, implementing global performance transformations.

I am the instigator and co-author of The Power of Parity, McKinsey Global Institute research on unlocking the potential of women to drive greater economic growth. I write and speak on the untapped potential of women globally, and strategies to achieve gender parity. My writing has appeared in TIME and Harvard Business Review and I have spoken at the UN Women's Empowerment Principles Event, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Wilson Center, the U.S. Treasury, and the U.S. EEOC.

Prior to rejoining McKinsey in 2005, I spent 2 years at the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE), a nonprofit that helps women entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. At CWE, I created a microloan program for low-income women.

As a child, I spent several years living with local families in China, Japan, Ecuador, and France. Constantly adapting to different cultures and learning new languages taught me to be more flexible, empathetic, and grateful.

I earned my MBA from Harvard Business School where I was co-president of the Women’s Student Association. I went to college at both Harvard and Wellesley, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics and Political Science.
