Laurie Voss

I'm a web developer, in the sense that I build websites, and also in the sense that I develop the web: my passion is making the web itself bigger, better, more powerful, and I believe the best way to do that is to get more people building web sites and web apps. Developer tooling is my bag.

I started a web development company in high school, and have spent the last twenty-seven years in tech. The first 15 years of my career were mostly as an individual contributor, building sites at every level from front-end through the application stack and down to the level of DBA and systems administration. Then I spent 10 years running two startups I co-founded, as CTO, COO, and CDO or Chief Data Officer. In my most recent role I was a data scientist, using my combination of technical and business skills to extract meaningful insight from mountains of data by figuring out which questions to ask.
