What I say about myself
I love helping companies create effective sales organisations (Direct & Channel), ensuring they focus on the things that will drive revenue. I am passionate, to the point of obsessive, about getting organisations, large and small, to think more about how they sell and why their clients buy, ensuring they remove the blockers that impact the effectiveness of the sales organisation. To put it bluntly I encourage sales leadership to focus on addressing the 20% of things that deliver 80% of the impact.

With 30+ years of experience in sales and marketing (mainly in the ICT) it still surprises me how often people follow the crowd around a new sales methodology, assuming this will change everything, as opposed to recognising that all organisations have their unique set of circumstances and strategy that will dictate what the blockers are to success. Ultimately it is the customers buying behaviours that drive the requirements of the sales organisation. If you have Insight into what drives them, understand their business needs and can communicate the value of what you do, then you have an effective sales team!

Beyond my passion for sales, I have built a reputation based on my sartorial excellence and the fact that unlike my peers I am not follicley challenged.
