At heart, I am an editor. I love helping people communicate with the full might of language behind their words. Syntax, connotation, rhetorically-effective punctuation, even prosody all come into play when I examine what someone is trying to say, who they're trying to say it to, and how can it be most efficiently and effectively communicated.
I've applied and honed this skill set over 5 years and across several industries: corporate retail, higher education, news writing, and more. I've studied effective communication at the graduate level, I've been published in multiple journals, and I've served as the editor of an online journal for multiple years. I've even been approached by the CEO of a regional corporate retailer for assistance in rewriting the company's mission statement. I am passionate about genuine, thoughtful communication.
