Mike Durran

Mike works in the Oracle Analytics Product Management team, responsible for developer experience (embedding analytics into custom applications and websites).

After completing a BSc in computational chemistry (with a year working for IBM) and PhD at the University of Surrey (ab initio C-13 nuclear shielding calculations of long chain carbohydrates, sponsored by Unilever Research), Mike joined Oracle Consulting in the UK working on data warehousing and analytics projects across a range of industries. Joining the Oracle Analytics development team led to a wide variety of product management experience including feature definition, product beta programs, product launches, presenting at user group conferences and innovation leading to 2 patents.

Technical editor of Oracle Press book "Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Developer Guide"​ and eBook "Oracle Exalytics Revealed" both authored by Mark Rittman.
