Younas holds a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He is also the recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship and David Bruton Jr. Fellowship.
