Munir Badr

Munir Badr is a young internet entrepreneur who started a domain registration & web hosting company - AEserver out of his bedroom back in 2005 in the beautiful city of Dubai.

With time, the company has positioned itself in the local market at a very high spot and became a trusted source for .ae domain name registrations (the national internet domain of the UAE) for customers in the UAE and abroad (mainly USA and Europe). Today AEserver is the largest private .ae domain name registrar based in UAE according to the market share published in August 2013 by TRA.

The company has undergone many changes: In 2008, the .ae namespace has been revolutionised by the government and a new body, the aeDA (ae domain administration) has been setup. AEserver has quickly partnered up with investors, gained access to cash and office space and has applied for it's own independent license to operate in this namespace. This was the official launch of the AEserver brand.

Today, AEserver boasts a huge clientele including medium to large companies in the UAE, major airlines, real estate agencies, online shops, government websites and many more.

Munir is also a well known public figure in the region who often comments on domain news, domain disputes, sales and also spreading the knowledge and awareness through interviews in the media and digital communities such as Tbreak.

On a side note, Munir is a graduate from the American University of Sharjah and holds a bachelors degree in Engineering. Munir has been a UAE resident since 1996 and has seen UAE grow from sands to concrete castles and projects the internet revolution that is yet to come.
Munir is fluent in Arabic, English and Russian languages.

In 2014, AEserver under Munir's leadership won the most prestigious SME Award in Dubai titled: National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) SME Stars of Business Awards in the category of "Best Technology & Online" - 2014.
