Beginning at age 2, I spent most of my life training for a professional career as a violinist. Along the way, I learned a great deal about the discipline, focus, and determination it takes to achieve excellence. Then, my plans changed rather unexpectedly when I went to Juilliard, and learned about the field of sport psychology.
Now a licensed sport and performance psychologist, my focus lies in taking what researchers know about optimal performance in athletes, and developing programs and curricula which teach these key psychological skills to musicians and other performers.
Being a wee bit obsessed with computers, technology, and the internet (and all things Apple), I also maintain a performance psychology blog titled "The Bulletproof Musician".
