My goal is to use science to solve business problems. For most of my career this has involved building mathematical models of online conversation and behavior to help organizations understand and connect with the public. Example projects:

- Dynamical models of online social interaction networks
- Large-scale analysis and classification of online audiences using linguistic and behavioral indicators
- Statistical models of engagement with social media posts
- Forecasting experiments with online surveys

Most of my experience with these problems has been as a data scientist, using my expertise in data engineering, statistics, machine learning, and natural language processing to design and ship SaaS products at Brandwatch. I worked primarily with engineers, designers, and product managers during this phase, but I also maintained strong working relationships with the commercial side of Brandwatch, including our customers and business partners.

Now I am using my unique experience and skillset as a product manager. My focus is on strategy, measurement, and project management rather than making direct technical contributions, but the mission is the same: to use science to create alignment between organizations and the people they hope to serve.
