I founded Rachel Kay Public Relations (RKPR) in 2007, bringing a mix of in-house and agency experience working with top tier brands including Kashi, ConocoPhillips, Givenchy, Samsung, Kodak, Clinique and more. An award-winning PR pro, I’ve accumulated a wealth of experience across all facets of the communications process, including media relations, social media management, tradeshow support, celebrity sampling and more. Today, I’m fortunate to lead a team of savvy communications professionals, driving strategic, results-driven PR and social programs for national consumer and B to B brands within food and beverage, sports, technology and other industries. Our incredible clients have included Post Consumer Brands Three Sisters Business Unit (Barbara's, Mom's Best, Weetabix, Country Archer, Bare Snacks (a Pepsi-Co Brand), Skinny Dipped, The Good Bean, Beanitos, Brazi Bites, Catalina Crunch, Angelic Bakehouse, Marzetti, Alter Eco, Utz, Foodstirs, Once Upon a Farm, Dry Soda Co, Elmhurst, Vittoria, Mikey's, Oska Wellness, Tofurky, GT's Kombucha, Enjoy Life Foods and more. In 2022, RKPR was acquired by global marketing communications firm FINN Partners.

As an early adopter and avid user of social media, I’ve been interviewed by numerous media about public relations and social media trends, including Mashable, Communication Conversations and Fox News. In addition, you’ll find my commentary on new media in Cutlip, Center and Broom’s "Effective Public Relations," one of the world’s most widely used textbooks for PR study at the university level, and in "Ready to Launch: The PR Couture Guide to Breaking into Fashion PR." I was named one of 20 PR Power Women to follow on Twitter by The Daily Muse. I also guest lecture at San Diego State University to discuss new media trends, and am a sought after speaker, having presented on PR, social media and brand strategy at conferences and organizations including the California Association of Public Information Officials’ (CAPIO) annual conference, the Municipal Managers Association of Southern California (MMASC) annual conference, AIGA Santa Barbara, and the Boy Scouts of America’s Annual Licensee Summit.
