I am a sociologist of technology and a silo-busting org change practitioner who helps large enterprises execute like pros.
Currently, I am doing a tour of duty as a Senior Advisor to Oliver Wise, Chief Data Officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC).
I also support fed/state/local data collaboration efforts with Denice Ross, White House Deputy CTO for Tech Capacity.
In my federal government role, I lead strategic efforts to use data in ways that improve equitable outcomes for communities across the country.
My portfolio includes:
> Leading an Inter-Agency Community of Practice on Equitable Data, as well as a similar Community of Practice for the DOC
> Leading efforts to develop the DOC 2024-2028 Data Strategy, in concert with 13 major bureaus across 5 workstreams
> Leading a DOC pilot to facilitate data sharing amongst bureaus to enable more robust analytics and program decision-making
> Developing a “Mechanisms of Influence” strategic playbook for federal change-makers and policy entrepreneurs
> Supporting the DOC Metrics Working Group to evolve program data management practices to better track outcomes for communities
I am also a faculty fellow in the Tech & Society initiative at Georgetown University, where I facilitate senior city and state data and tech leaders in collaborative problem-solving and knowledge-sharing.
In addition, I am the founder of Epic Teams, a leading consultancy in the field of agile organizational performance.
Epic Teams work with fast-growing companies looking to execute better by growing together. Our company has successfully led organizational development initiatives in over a dozen Fortune 500, startup, and non-profit organizations in the last five years, including at L’Oreal, Gainsight, and Google.
