Sheba Zaidi an entrepreneur and communications professional with over seventeen years of experience.
She is the Co-Founder of Mahara Mindfulness - a contemporary lifestyle brand with the goal of creating products and experiences that provide a stepping stone into a world of mindful practices and personal transformation. Mahara's first product is The Human Being Journal which was included in Oprah’s Healthy Living ‘O’ List and has secured coverage in The New York Times, Forbes, Oprah Daily, New York Magazine (the Strategist), The Globe and Mail, e-Talk, to name a few. It also included mentions and endorsements from The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jessica Alba (The Honest Company), Kourtney Kardashian (POOSH), Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Aniston (LolaVie) and goop. The Human Being Journal was recently included in the official 65th GRAMMY Awards gift bag and is available across the US and Canada in stores such as Chapters Indigo, POOSH, Holt Renfrew, Paper Source and Barnes and Noble.
She is also the Co-Founder of The County Wine Tours, a wine tour company based out of Prince Edward County. The company has been profitable since launch, grown from 5 to 12 employees and secured an online partnership with Chapters Indigo, Canada's largest bookstore chain.
Until February 2020, Sheba was a full-time professional at a Toronto-based public relations agency. She has a passion for healthcare communications and has worked on everything from pharmaceutical launches to public awareness campaigns to consumer health programs. Her expertise include building integrated brand and category communications initiatives to engage multiple audiences. She enjoys sharing compelling stories and is fascinated by how humans consume content and develop brand affinity.
Over the past decade, Sheba has honed her skills in public relations, media relations, strategic and tactical execution, issues management, internal communications, event planning, brand building, content creation, analytics and measurement. Specifically, Sheba has significant experience in areas including oncology, dermatology, women’s health and primary care. Her passions include brand building, stakeholder relations, thought-leadership, advocacy and integrated DTC campaigns.
