I am a principal at TVP Communications, a boutique agency that specializes in higher education marketing and communications. With over 12 years of experience in this field, I have a passion for helping colleges and universities tell their stories, engage their audiences, and navigate their challenges. I hold a Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence from CASE, Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from PRSA, and completed a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership and Policy from Southern Methodist University.
As a trusted advisor and coach, I provide strategic counsel and support to executive and senior leaders in higher education, helping them to develop and implement individualized thought leadership plans, full-service communications and media relations campaigns, crisis communications strategies, and major announcement rollouts. I also co-host the Trusted Voices Podcast, a platform for discussing high-profile and high-impact issues at the intersection of leadership and communications in higher education. Additionally, I serve as a founding co-editor and contributor to the Call to Action Blog on Inside Higher Ed, where I share insights and best practices on marketing and communications topics in higher education. I have also written for various publications and contributed a chapter to a book on crisis preparation and response for campus leaders.
