As Director of Global Events at MariaDB, I’m responsible for producing professional, educational, and interactive events. This includes our global hybrid user conference and managing our presence at tradeshows.
I cut my event-teeth in a variety of event-related roles, including a guest-services role at the front desk of a Vegas hotel, managing banquets at a restaurant, and guest room inventory management for a convention housing agency. Entering into event management, I fine-tuned my event skills through several more years managing registration, exhibit halls, event catering, speaker management, and venue logistics.
As a seasoned event planner, I’m now able to focus on the bigger event picture, collaborating with the great marketing team on messaging, brand awareness and demand generation.
Teaming up with my marketing colleagues, we bring a broad range of marketing skills to the table and I am so proud to be a part of this awesome team. I cannot wait to see what the future holds, not only the individuals that make up the marketing team, but also for the amazing products we get to market, helping companies make critical decisions with a database they can rely on.
