I work in digital marketing and specialize in website optimization/CRO. This line of work to me means trying to fix the world one website at a time. You may find this incredibly naive but I think it's important to find meaning in your work. The world is filled with bad UX that serves nobody and dirty marketing tactics that are used to get the visitor to consume anything that’s put in front of them. I don't believe in that.
