Something I learned very quickly after starting in E-commerce Content is that very few people will read paragraphs of text on their screen. You may be skimming this right now, but I am going to do what I know we all want: bullet points!
• Born in Chicago, moved to Fort Worth, Texas for college, and then came back to Chicago following graduation.
• Enthusiastic hobby collector, from painting to astrology to pickleball to vintage-cowboy-boot-hunting. I love learning something new!
• In February 2020, weeks before the world as we knew it was upended, I started creating content and navigating Ulta Beauty’s newest social media channel TikTok - and grew it to 102K followers!
• Speaking of TikTok, I still create content as a contractor and most recently worked for one of my favorite music festivals: Hinterland.
• To quickly explain what I do in E-commerce, every time you shop online someone (like me) made decisions on what goes on that product’s webpage – copy, images, videos, 360 spins, titles, etc. – and then someone (again me) uploaded all that content to the page that you are looking at right now. I bridge the gap between brands and online retailers, how one gets from A to B if you will.
• My working style is very much “make it work”. Assets are limited? I’ll figure it out. Don’t know how to do something? I’m sure there’s a Reddit thread for it. No money for project XYZ? We’ll make it work. No idea where to start? Trial and error, we’ll get there. Creative problem solving!
• And because I’m good at what I do, here are some SEO keywords: Content creation, content strategy, marketing, ecommerce, CPG, UGC, retail, sales, digital content, TikTok, UX design, web design, project management, DAM, digital asset management, user generated content, consumer packaged goods, social media, Amazon vendor central, user experience, Syndigo
This is the longest Linkedin bio I have ever written, and you probably still just skimmed the bullets, but that’s ok. I hope you feel like you got the idea for who I am!
You can't control the channel...but you can motivate it!
During my 25 years at Extu, formerly Incentive Solutions, I've had the privilege of helping great companies reach their business goals through the use of incentives for their customers, employees, and channel partners.
Although I’m in a sales role, I don’t consider myself a “salesperson.” With a background in Incentive Program Account Management, I have experienced firsthand all that must go into a successful incentive strategy, and understand the program techniques that work. My greatest strength comes through collaboration with others, listening to our client’s pain points and understanding the specific industry in order to devise the best incentive solution.
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying a glass of wine with my husband and cheering on our three kid's in college at the Air Force Academy, Mississippi State and Polimoda Fashion School (Florence, Italy).

As a child, I was obsessed with recording my entire life on my parent's old-school VHS camcorders. Birthday parties, how-to videos, holidays, adventures with friends, and (being a Floridian) even hurricanes – everything needed to be documented. At the time, my parents thought I was obsessed with technology, but in reality, I was obsessed with storytelling.
An obsession became a passion the day I walked into my video production class in high school. This was an entire class dedicated not only to cameras but to editing software, storyboarding, audio, lighting, news, and most importantly, storytelling. Over time, I learned how to tell a compelling story. One with a hook at the beginning to grab the audience's attention, a relatable main character, an arc, and a concluding moral or message that I wanted to impart.
The decision to pursue this passion as a career was an easy one – video production was what I was good at and what I enjoyed, so of course, that’d be my focus when I graduated.
Four years later, I was an alumnus of the University of Florida, and the reality of working in production did not quite reflect what I had envisioned growing up. In general, I like to see the outcomes of my work, to understand why something I created was or wasn’t well-received, and to have some input into what could be better – I like to be analytical and make data-driven decisions. I was restless, and I knew I had more than my creativity to offer.
The question I began asking myself was this: how could I blend my creative skills with my desire for analytical thinking to inform strategy at a higher level while still telling stories?
The answer was not immediately apparent, but a career change and one Master’s degree later, I have found where I belong:
Content Marketing.
I can confidently say I was meant to be in this field.
I've had the pleasure of working most of my content marketing career in the technology and SaaS industry, primarily producing content (written and video) for B2B audiences. My experience ranges from YouTube videos to social media management, blogs, webinars, emails, live events, and organic lead-gen campaigns. I love it all.
Most notably, my passion has evolved – I'm now passionate about storytelling for a product or service I believe can improve another business's operations: no scams, pyramid schemes, deception, or lies. I work for companies that I believe in because, ultimately, what makes a story compelling is the storyteller’s passion.
