AN ECOMMERCE VETERAN 👨‍💻
I've been building world-class online shopping experiences that turn casual visitors into raving fans for nearly two decades. By 25, I was managing one of Internet Retailer's Top 10 online shops with over 4.5 million registered customers.

AWARD-WINNING JOURNALIST 🕵🏻
Advertising has come a long way since college when I sold ads just to get the school newspaper printed. I am fortunate that the things I love most about journalism are still very much a part of my work today. The search for truth, fact-checking sources, data storytelling, and the adrenaline you get from an immovable deadline. What I value most is the camaraderie with my coworkers. It's hard not to become lifelong friends after you've fought in the trenches together.

BLUE-COLLAR WORK ETHIC 👷🏻
I'm a working-class guy from a blue-collar family. My father owned a construction company in Los Angeles. Sometimes he would work nights and weekends to meet deadlines. I inherited Dad's work ethic and view my role as a marketer as a builder, too: I build roads that lead to your business.

LAYING THE PAVEMENT TO PROSPERITY 🛣
Imagine your business as a village in the countryside. There is one road into town. You would hire me to build more roads so more people visit your town. There are many types of roads: back roads, highways, freeways, and so on. Each represents a marketing channel: video, social, search, push notifications, and email to name a few. The challenge is that each type of road is different. The cost to build it, who uses it, how much traffic it permits, how much upkeep it requires, and so forth. I help businesses make these decisions so that all lanes are open and their village can grow into a thriving metropolis.

GROWTH WITHOUT GROWING PAINS 📈
I have helped businesses grow rapidly and incrementally. If a product or service is desirable, even a modest budget can grow sales so quickly staff and suppliers are unable to keep up with demand. Growth is good, but it can be bad if you do it too quickly. I know to be conscientious and communicate when more humans or better business tools are required to scale and continue growing without sacrificing service and work/life balance.

THEN AND NOW ⏮▶️
In my first role as a marketer, we grew the business to over 1 billion in annual sales in under five years. In my last ecommerce position, we grew revenue 150% from 2007-2019 with annual sales in the tens of millions. I've done all manner of freelance and consulting work in between for companies of all sizes.
