"Because it's there" – Mountaineer George Mallory when asked why he wanted to climb Mount Everest.

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being in nature, and our seemingly relentless desire to “conquer” it. Sadly my mountaineering never made it beyond a three-day trek when I was in school. My other passion has always been writing, but I’m yet to publish a bestseller.

I chose to study Literature at University because I knew it would open up a wealth of potential careers. Little did I know that it would set me on the path that I find myself on now.

I love technology, I love learning and I love helping others to learn about technology. In the last 10 years, I’ve worked in a broad variety of technology-oriented roles; Support, Implementation, and now PreSales (aka solution consulting, sales engineering, “the demo guy”).

My latest professional adventure has been a move into a leadership role which has given me the chance to identify and implement tools and processes to enable my customer-facing colleagues to be more successful. Seeing that moment when something I’ve had a hand in enables someone to achieve a goal of theirs is the greatest feeling in the world.

Right now, I’m focused on finding new ways to keep myself accountable and on continuing to find that 1% improvement each day both personally, and professionally.

I still love writing, and I’ve grown to love creating videos. I have a passion for creating content that entertains and informs. I still try to read every day and never want to stop my learning journey.

I always love to chat and would love to connect with anyone who feels interested in diving deeper into pretty much any topic. Shoot me a message on InMail and let’s keep the conversation going.

Wherever there is a mountain to climb, I’ll be there at the base looking up and thinking about the view from the peak.
