I am curious and industrious, and my career has spanned decades--including the one when the internet changed journalism forever--so this journalist has become someone who specializes in collecting and articulating often complex information to reach a particular audience. In 30 years as a contract writer, I've worked for numerous clients at a time, writing and editing myriad types of deliverables. I've written stories in the thousands on business and finance; in the hundreds on tech; dozens on sustainability; and futher hundreds on everything from art to parenting, culture, interior design, all the way to rehabilitating injured dairy cows.
Further, I've worked as a community liaison for an EPA Superfund Project, a writer for a federal Opportunity Zone project, a writer/researcher for a Department of Housing disaster recovery and resilience project, and Director of Communications (contract basis) for a European wave energy company.
I've cowritten books on meaningful work and written websites to blogs, scripts, investment documents, and grant proposals. I once wrote a report on wastewater systems in the Texas panhandle. I like learning new things and tackling the challenge of delivering exactly what is needed. I meet deadlines, love a good editor, and play well with others.
