If I've learned nothing in my years in working with customers, I've learned that the customer isn't always right, but their feelings are valid.
We've all heard the age-old tale from Henry Ford: "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horse." As a Product Manager, my goal is to understand the underlying cause behind a customer's negative experience/feelings for a product and to collaborate with clever people who have the creativity to come up with an innovative solution.
My happy place is at this crossroads--where active listening and teaching collide. I love to be the compassionate ear to my customers and to be the voice of those customers for my team.
