He's an active angel investor and previously co-founded Gravity Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund, and a number of software companies, including Octiv, Lessonly, Visible, and Pathagility. In addition to serving on several corporate boards, he's actively involved in a number of philanthropic and nonprofit endeavors.

The long but brief story:
Great at academics and great at sports but found my passion in growth marketing.
Spent countless hours taking courses online and tested out those skills at 10 companies, in different industry verticals. I took a sabbatical of 6 months to get ridiculously good at marketing. Unsurprisingly, I have a major in marketing and a degree in business.
Short term goal is to be great at growth marketing. Long term goal is to start something of my own and put these kickass marketing skills to use.
Outside of marketing (if that ever happens), I take active interest in animal welfare, tech startups, and Karate. My mom thinks I should get a hobby other than marketing and she's absolutely right.

Starting out as an accountant working in the finance departments of investment and retail banks, I switched to a career in IT following my involvement in the implementation of a new accounting software solution.
I have since enjoyed 15 years working for companies such as Sky, Experian and smaller IT startup US-based organisations moving from technical roles such as Installations Consultant to Solutions Manager and Pre-Sales. I have just sold a business which myself and partners reared from incubation in 2012. My role as IT Manager was to migrate legacy server based software onto a SaaS architecture: Xero for the accounting & management reporting software, Verizon for the scheduling and field based applications; thereby creating a single ubiquitous environment allowing seamless flow of information between independent Cloud applications specifically chosen for their integration with one another.
