Sr. Production Manager, Digital & Multimedia at Aprimo
Video producer. Marketing Cheat Codes podcast showrunner. Animator. My main goals are to educate and entertain. At Aprimo, a B2B SaaS company, I am the primary resource for development of video, audio, photography, and motion graphics-based projects across departments. Playing a critical role in the global brand experience through digital media deliverables and processes that guide marketing and field efforts, I have a continued focus on Aprimo’s overall visual representation and customer experience, both online and in-person.
My background is in education, events, documentary production and advertising, with projects that have been used at international conferences, screened at major film festivals, played on television, radio, and print. After early work at Leo Burnett and leading student filmmaking programs with Adobe at Cannes and Sundance, I completed a Master of Science in Digital Cinema Production. The classroom was still calling my name, so I taught advanced multimedia courses at a college prep school in Chicago, then moved on to manage the video studio and create curriculum content for the first fully accredited online culinary program. Over the past decade I also worked on large-scale physical events, and spent several years as project manager for a virtual event and live-streaming platform, building digital experiences and global product launches for tech companies, nonprofits, and publishers. When I'm not working or volunteering, you can find me going analog, exploring parks and nature with a film camera in hand.
I’m John. I’m a guy that does marketing. I previously ran growth for Litmus and am now director of marketing at Databox, a software company making it easy for people to track all their marketing and sales performance in one place.
I am a senior marketing and communications leader, a seasoned manager, experienced writer and editor, former journalist, lifelong learner, and passionate father and husband. I believe in treating employees like people and not resources, in the importance of strong ethics, in quality over quantity, and in action with purpose. I am fascinated by people and the things that inspire them to action, which drives the work I do every day.
I am Aprimo born and raised - from intern to Marketing Manager. I am responsible for managing Aprimo's inbound marketing initiatives that help drive pipeline growth, including: 3rd party sponsorships, advertising and social media strategy, execution of Aprimo's annual user conference, and planning & attending industry and partner events.
My absolute favorite part of my job is facing, and ultimately conquering, the challenge of humanizing a B2B tech brand to deliver exceptional content experiences across every channel.
On a personal note, I love PEOPLE. Please feel free to connect and reach out regarding any and everything - I would be happy to hear from you.
