With over a decade of experience in global events, Gemma heads up Canalys’ fast-growing events business in the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions. She leads the company’s flagship event, the Canalys Forum, which attracts some of the world’s most influential technology vendors, distributors, and reseller partners.
Gemma’s events background, along with her strong global project management skills, has granted her the capability of creating amazing user experiences, which plays a vital role in driving the fast development and key performance of the global Canapii team. With the customer needs in mind, she has impacted the design of a sophisticated platform to host virtual, onsite and hybrid events.
Prior to joining Canalys in 2008, Gemma worked as a conference marketing executive at SPG Media, a business-to-business media company that organizes over 50 annual industry events.
Gemma graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Marketing Management. During her studies, she took a 14-month placement at HP UK as an EMEA Marketing Executive, where she got her first taste of working with a regional team. In 2012, Gemma completed her Diploma at the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

I regularly facilitate contract law and risk management workshops at AIMWA and develop and present in-house training to sales, procurement and commercial teams. 12 years in the construction industry has provided me with war stories galore.
