CEO of Customer Camp // Stop Guessing. Market Smarter.
Do you know *exactly* which customers to target and what fuels their buying decisions?
If not, growth will always feel painfully slow.
I can help.
Hey, I’m Katelyn Bourgoin. I'm a marketer by trade and a 4X founder by choice. My specialty is helping growth-hungry teams figure out what triggers customers to buy so they can market smarter.
I've been called an "influential entrepreneur" by Forbes and named as one of the "top 20 wonder women of SaaS marketing and growth." I’ve run my own branding agency—reeling in clients like Target and Holiday Inn—built and sold a restaurant consulting business in under 2 years, and founded a VC-backed tech company that Inc. Magazine once called “the next LinkedIn” (spoiler: that last one didn’t quiiiiiiite go as planned).
Over the years, I’ve been featured in Forbes, Inc., USA Today, HuffPost, CBC, CTV, Bustle, and more. That's my professional highlight reel... but what does any of it really mean? And why should you give a damn?
Well, it means that I've been in the game long enough—and made enough mistakes along the way—that I know some stuff. I founded Customer Camp because I was sick and tired of watching smart people struggle. We help teams to focus on what matters most, yet is often neglected: deeply understanding their customers.
After all... whoever gets closer to the customer wins.
Driving the integration of Gainsight's acquisition of Northpass (July '23) and loving life raising a bunch of littles with my incredible wife.
Feeling grateful and blessed for the opportunity to do all this with amazing people!
TL:DR version: Award-winning executive-level Creative Director, with extensive experience creating experiential events, original content and immersive experiences for brands and entertainment companies.
The longer mission statement: Before joining Campfire, I worked my way through college as a restaurant magician in London.
That’s a tough gig — moving from table to table, struggling to get the attention of strangers as you go. But I learned that the best way to win over audiences is by inviting them to participate in stories, rather than simply performing tricks for applause.
It’s a valuable lesson I brought with me to big ad agencies as a Creative Director for 12 years, before finding my groove at Campfire in 2009.
It was only there that I could finally practice what I preached: earning eyeballs — and more importantly, hearts and minds — with compelling ideas, rather than buying them with media dollars.
Since then my work has been featured by major media outlets, studied at top universities and won many industry awards. More significantly, it’s generated thriving fan followings for my client partners, propelling premium shows and products to success.
Check out my work below to see how Campfire built a hardcore fanbase for Game of Thrones, designed experiential worlds for Westworld, Watchmen & The Purge, shot a man out of a cannon for Captain Morgan, created the world’s first responsive movie for Infiniti, crowdsourced a message to aliens, and made the front page of both national newspapers AND Reddit (three times) with a subversive campaign for Cinemax.
Or just email me. I love to talk about this stuff.
